The Hanwha Eagles have won two straight games after a six-game losing streak to end the season. They won a 7-4 comeback victory over the Lotte Giants at Daejeon Baseball Stadium on April 15. Veteran Lee Tae-yang started and pitched five innings of two-run ball, while “Gojoluki” Moon Hyun-bin had three hits, including a two-run home run.

They have one game left against Lotte on the 16th. A win would knock the Samsung Lions out of eighth place. Samsung lost the final game to the NC Dinos on the 15th, and Hanwha’s win on the day kept their eighth place hopes alive.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Hanwha broke the 2-2 balance.

The center fielders showed their concentration. Noh Si-hwan singled to center field, Chae Eun-sung walked, and Kim In-hwan singled to shortstop to load the bases. No. 6 Lee Jin-young singled to center field, scoring Noh Si-hwan from third, making it 3-2.

Hanwha’s Jung Woo-ram came on to pitch the top of the eighth and shut down the first three batters. It was his Asian record 1003rd game appearance.
