The Doosan Bears have signed 10 of their 11 2024 KBO Rookie Draft picks.
Doosan announced on Thursday that it has “finalized contracts with 10 of its 2024 rookies.”
First-round pick Kim Taek-yeon, a pitcher from Incheon High School, signed a contract worth 350 million won. At this year’s U-18 Baseball World Cup, Kim went 2-1 with a save in six games and a 0.88 ERA, earning the tournament’s Best Relief Pitcher Award. With a fastball that reaches a maximum speed of 153 kilometers per hour, he is considered an immediate powerhouse for next season. Kim will be honored at the 10th annual Choi Dong-won Award ceremony on May 17.
The second-round pick, infielder Yeo Dong-gun (Seoul High), was stamped at 150 million won. Despite her small stature, Yeo has an imposing physique and a three-beat offense. In the third round, Im Jong-sung (Gyeongbuk High – infielder) was signed for 100 million won. Im Jong-sung is a strong hitter with good wrist strength and the ability to produce long balls.

Son Yul-ki (Masan Yongmago, outfielder), Kim Tae-wan (Sunlin Internet High, pitcher), and Ryu Hyun-jun (Jang Chung-go, catcher), who were drafted in the eighth through tenth rounds, each received a contract worth 30 million won. The 11th round pick, Ahn Chi-ho (Se AD, pitcher), did not sign because he decided to go to college.
