Nasta’s bat won’t cool down in September.
Na Sung-beom (KIA Tigers) went 3-for-4 with a home run, one walk, five RBIs, and one run scored while batting third in right field against SSG Landers in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on September 1.
Na grounded out to shortstop in his first at-bat in the first inning, but he came out swinging in his second at-bat in the third. With the bases loaded and two outs, he battled Loenis Elias for an eight-pitch at-bat before hitting an RBI single. Na Sung-beom followed with an RBI single to give KIA a 2-0 lead.
After walking in his third at-bat, Na added another RBI in his fourth at-bat in the top of the seventh. With the bases loaded and two outs, he hit a single to right field, allowing Kim Do-young to sprint home and score.
Na Sung-beom ended SSG’s chase in the top of the ninth. With the score 6-2, Park Chan-ho singled and Kim Do-young walked to set the table for Na. Na took advantage of a 116km/h curveball from Song Young-jin and smashed it over the right-center field fence. Nah’s blast and Socrates’ RBI single made the score 10-2 and extended their winning streak to six games.
Na had a tremendous August at the plate. He hit .376 with five home runs, 22 RBIs, 18 runs scored, and a 1.088 OPS in 32 at-bats. He continued his hot streak into the first game of September.
Na said, “I’m glad that I’ve been hitting well lately. As the team’s leadoff hitter, my focus on producing RBIs in scoring opportunities has led to good results,” said Na. “I’m glad I was able to contribute to the team’s victory with five RBIs today.”스포츠토토
Na thanked tablesetters Park Chan-ho and Kim Do-young for creating opportunities for him. ”I don’t think I played well in today’s game, but I was able to play a good game because the tablesetters created a lot of opportunities for me,” he said, adding, “I want to thank my teammates.”
“I am grateful that so many fans came to the ballpark today, and I will do my best in every game to maintain this good atmosphere for a long time,” he concluded.
