‘Leaders’ Gimcheon defeated to finish July in 2nd place, coach Lee Woo-hyung “will try to go undefeated in August”

Posted on 31 July 2023 by maxytee.com

“I want to challenge for an undefeated streak in August.”

FC Anyang, led by Lee Woo-hyung, won 2-0 against Gimcheon Sangmu in the 24th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2 2023 at Anyang Sports Complex on Aug. 31. With three points in three games, Anyang (38 points) moved to within four points of leader Gimcheon (42 points). They are also level on points with Gyeongnam FC and Busan I-Park, but are in second place on goal difference with 38.

Anyang succeeded in turning around a season that was marred by the resignation of coach Lee and officiating issues against Busan I-Park (1-2 loss). After the game, Lee said, “Gimcheon has been a good team lately, and we were in a bad mood, but beating the top team will be very helpful in the future. The players showed great determination.”

Regarding the refereeing issue, the owner of the club, Mayor Max Ho, posted a protest on social media. On the same day, officials including Lee Jung-min, chairman of the referees’ committee, met with Mayor Choi. “The players were very disappointed right after the game against Busan, and it must have been a great motivation for them to see the owner take such an interest in the situation,” Lee explained.

Gimcheon needs to use the win against Gimcheon to continue its upward trend in August. The battle at the top of the table is still fierce. “Anyang won one or two games and then played poorly,” Lee said. Of course, there is no such thing as a win, but from August, we want to reduce our losses as much as possible and challenge for an unbeaten streak.” 메이저사이트

The attacking trio of Laercio, Bruno, and Yago, who made their debut in the match, is expected to do well in the future. “Yago has adapted to the K League to some extent. Laercio and Bruno are still lacking and need to work harder. If they adapt quickly, I believe they will do well,” he said.

‘Faker’ signals comeback… ‘Poby’ to start LCKCL

Posted on 31 July 2023 by maxytee.com

Yoon “Pobi” Sung-won will start for the Challengers.
Yoon “Fobby” Seong-won will start as the mid laner for the T1 Challengers against the Live Sandbox Youth at WDG Esports Studio in Jung-gu, Seoul on November 31. It will be his first Challengers appearance since joining the T1 LCK team as a replacement for Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk, who complained of arm pain on May 5. With Yoon “Faker” Seong-won dropping back to the second team, attention is naturally focused on the possibility of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk returning to the starting lineup.

T1 is currently locked into fifth place in the LCK, but the team is in desperate need of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk’s return as they have faltered in recent matches. Acting head coach Lim Jae-hyun also commented on Lee’s return, saying, 먹튀검증 “We are preparing for the playoffs, and I think he can come back before then.” There were observations that he should return in Week 9, which is naturally ahead of the playoffs, and there were also opinions that timing his return to Week 9 would help him adapt to the playoff version of the game, 13.14, since the game will be played from Week 9.

If he does join the team in Week 9, his return will be on Wednesday, August 2 at 5 p.m. when T1 takes on the Guangdong Freecs. It will be interesting to see if Lee can return to full fitness, and if so, whether he can rescue T1 from the brink.

‘Injured’ Kim Hae-Sung falls to the ground after an unceremonious block… Should he have kicked it in instead?

Posted on 31 July 2023 by maxytee.com

It was a dizzying moment brought on by an unsportsmanlike play by an opponent. Kim Ha-seong (28, San Diego Padres) collided with the opposing catcher as he was running home on a tag-up and injured his shoulder. He could have avoided the shoulder injury by kicking out.
Kim started at first base and second base for the Padres’ 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) home game against the Texas Rangers at Petco Park in San Diego, California, U.S., on Aug. 31, but was removed from the lineup in the top of the fourth inning.

Kim has been on a tear lately, earning the manager’s trust as a leadoff hitter. He has become an integral part of the San Diego Padres organization. The San Diego home fans have been chanting his name every time he steps up to the plate. That makes this injury all the more unfortunate.

Kim batted leadoff in the top of the first inning with the score tied at 0-0. He got three straight pitches in the zone against Texas starter Cody Bradford. He watched the fourth pitch for a strike, then took the fifth pitch up the middle for a foul. In the sixth, he went for a high ball outside off, but it was again fouled. In the seventh, he picked off a 91.5-mph four-seam fastball in the zone and grounded out. Kim fulfilled his role as a leadoff hitter in the first inning. One out later, after Juan Soto struck out swinging, Kim boldly stole second base. It was his 21st stolen base of the season. However, he was unable to reach home as Manny Machado struck out swinging.

In the bottom of the third inning, with the score still 0-0, Kim batted second. Once again, Kim harassed the opposing pitcher, forcing him to throw a total of seven pitches. After a first-pitch body strike, the second pitch was a high ball. The third pitch was a surprise bunt that was fouled off. Facing a 1-2 count, Kim persevered, fouling off pitches four and five. The sixth pitch was a ball. On a 2-2 pitch count, Kim pulled a 91.2 mph four-seam fastball hard on the seventh pitch. The ball was hit deep between the third baseman and shortstop, where Ezequiel Duran barely caught it and made a nonstop throw to first base, but Kim got there first.

In just two at-bats, Kim showed off his multi-hit form… Kim Ha-seong’s fighting spirit and an unsportsmanlike play by the opposing catcher led to the ‘injury’.

Kim Hae-sung reached base in just two at-bats. It was a great moment to see how well he was hitting and running the bases, but it was the last we would see of him in this inning. After Fernando Tatis Jr. flied out to center field, Soto drew a walk to move Kim to second. Machado followed with a single to right, advancing Kim to third. San Diego’s chance to tie the game. The next batter, Xander Bogaerts, flied out to center field. 메이저사이트

Belhore lose second straight game with 0-1 defeat to ‘group favorites’ Morocco…Round of 16 unlikely

Posted on 30 July 2023 by maxytee.com

South Korea’s women’s soccer team suffered a second straight defeat at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia-New Zealand 2023, falling to Morocco, one of the weakest teams in the group. Their chances of advancing to the round of 16 are now slim.

Head coach Colleen Bell’s side lost 0-1 to Morocco in their second Group H match of the tournament at Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide, Australia, on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. ET.

It was the second straight defeat for South Korea (2W, 0L), who lost their first game 0-2 to Colombia on Sept. 25.

Morocco (1W, 1D, 3P), playing in their first-ever World Cup, recorded a historic first win. They avenged a 0-6 loss to Germany in the first round.

South Korea, ranked 17th in the FIFA rankings, found themselves in a tough spot in Group H as they were stunned by Morocco (72nd), the lowest-ranked team and first-time World Cup qualifiers.

Their hopes of reaching the round of 16 remained alive, albeit very slim, thanks to Colombia’s upset 2-1 victory over powerhouse Germany in the next game.

Colombia is in first place with two wins (6 points), followed by Germany and Morocco (D1 L1 D3) in second and third place.

The second-place finishers in each group advance to the round of 16.

Velho’s final opponent, however, will be Germany, the two-time World Cup champions, FIFA’s No. 2 ranked team and the group’s strongest.

If last-place South Korea wins its final game and Colombia beats Morocco, leaving all three teams with one win and two losses, Belo Horizonte will have to settle for goal difference.

Here again, Belho’s prospects are bleak. Germany’s goal differential is +5, Morocco’s is -5, and South Korea’s is -3.

South Korea needs to beat Germany by more than five goals. Even then, it won’t matter if Morocco wins or draws with Colombia.

South Korea and Germany will face off next month on March 3 at 7pm.

Both teams, who lost their first round matches side by side, need a win to advance to the round of 16, which is awarded to the second best team in the group. 스포츠토토

Bell made two changes to his lineup. Instead of Yoon Young-gl (BK Hecken), who started in the first game, she put her eldest sister Kim Jeong-mi (Hyundai Steel) up front. Yoon had conceded an extra goal against Colombia when she failed to clear Linda Caicedo’s shot.

In the front line, Park Eun-sun (Seoul City Hall) replaced Choi Yoo-ri (Hyundai Steel) to form a duo with Son Hwa-yeon (Hyundai Steel).

There was an unexpected change in the defense.

‘3G consecutive starts + 2 goals’ Jo Kyu-sung to Denmark to imprint K-League presence!

Posted on 30 July 2023 by maxytee.com

Cho Kyu-sung (25-Midtjylland) is making his mark as a ‘K-League’ goal-scorer as he settles in perfectly after three games in Denmark.

He started the Danish Superliga’s 2023-24 second-round match against Silkeborg at the MCH Arena in Herning, Denmark, on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET and scored his second goal of the season in a 2-0 victory.

Cho’s club, Midtjylland, have won two straight games (6 points) after opening the league.

Cho, who started as the top frontline striker in a 4-2-3-1, scored his team’s second goal of the match just before halftime with an assist from Christopher Olsson.

On a counterattack opportunity, Olsson broke down the right flank. He sprinted down the center of the field toward the opposing goal, where Olsson saw him and stabbed the ball.

As soon as he received Olsson’s pass, Cho took a non-stop right-footed shot with a defender in front of him. With a quick glance at the opposing goalkeeper, he placed a low shot into the left corner of the goal.

His second goal of the season. Cho took off his headband and ran to the stands where the away fans were cheering.

After scoring his debut goal with a header against Hvidore in the league opener on Sept. 22, Cho has now scored in two consecutive games.

The goal earned Cho the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and a spot in the league’s Best 11 on his debut.

He also played 45 minutes against Progress Niederkorn (Luxembourg) in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) second qualifying round for the 2023-2024 season on Nov. 27, solidifying himself as a starter for the third consecutive game. 스포츠토토

Cho Kyu-sung donned the Meatwillan jersey last month from Jeonbuk Hyundai in the K League 1. He signed a five-year contract until 2028, with an estimated transfer fee of £2.6 million.

“I was going to bowl 100 balls today…” First QS+first win in just 3 days after returning to action

Posted on 30 July 2023 by maxytee.com

“I told Coach Seo that I would throw a 100-pitch complete game today, but I’m sorry I couldn’t keep my promise!”

Kia Tigers’ Thomas Pannoni smiled broadly.

Panoni pitched 6⅔ scoreless innings in Game 3 of the weekend series against the Lotte Giants at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on Tuesday.

After giving up back-to-back hits in the first and second innings, he settled down in the third. He threw 98 pitches until the bottom of the seventh inning. KIA won the game 6-3 and earned their first win of the season. It is only three games after returning to the KBO.

After the game, Panoni said, “I’m happy that the game went as I prepared it today. I’m happy that the team won today, and I’m even happier that we swept the series,” he smiled.

“I had a little bit of a long first and second inning, but I took it one pitch at a time. In the third inning, I got into my groove and got through it with ease and less pitches, so it was an encouraging day in that regard, and I’m glad to have our bats behind me.” 꽁머니

In the top of the sixth inning, with runners on first and second, Panoni discussed the pitch mix with Tae-gun Kim on the mound. “The next batter was a lefty (Park Seung-wook), so we talked about not being too honest in the count and giving him as many good pitches as possible,” Panoni said.

Kia manager Kim Jong-kook was careful to manage his pitch count after Pannoni’s return, throwing 76 and 88 pitches before finally reaching 100. He said, “I have no problem with 100 pitches now. Even today, I told Coach Seo, ‘I’m going to finish nine innings with 100 pitches,’ and I didn’t,” he said with a wry smile.

“I want to win as many games as I can, and I think I can go higher than last year, and I’ll try to shut them down like a bulldog.”
